SOPHIA ABRAM

Sophia’s purpose in life is to build up believers, which she has been doing enthusiastically since staging her first walkout in fifth grade. Over the past decade, she has made a career of helping to build fast-scaling organizations and campaigns, including the Obama Campaign and The Future Project. A lifelong student of social movement theory, Sophia is working to build a life that integrates the spiritual and material work of social change.

After a decade in the social impact sector, Sophia was inspired to take a spiritual sabbatical in 2016. It was there that she founded Believer, a boutique international consulting firm committed to coaching up high-impact social entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Since then, Believer has worked with dozens of cross-sector clients to excavate their essence, create strategic plans, and do what they love to do with precision and ease.

In partnership with her husband, Ben Abram, Sophia is an active impact investor and philanthropist. Anchored in their values of radical hospitality, love, trust, connection mindset, and opportunity consciousness, they founded The Narrow Bridge Fund in 2018. Sophia integrates her philanthropic and professional missions by joining the founding boards of organizations that fulfill both the Narrow Bridge Fund and Believer missions. She currently sit on the founding boards of At The Well, Front Porch, and Mi Maletin and on the Development Committee of The Durham Public Schools Foundation.

Sophia spends significant time in San Francisco, New York, and Israel, and lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she hopes to build an urban kibbutz. Sophia channels her spiritual creativity by hosting spiritual experiences all over the world with and for her friends and family.
